Brother Robert W. Scott.
Provincial Grand Master.
The RWPGM

I give you a very warm welcome to the Web Site of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Linlithgowshire.

Our province takes it's name from the historic Royal Burgh of Linlithgow and consists of 19 Lodges which are mainly situated in the West Lothian area, although we do have lodges in the geographic area of Edinburgh, Falkirk and Lanarkshire.

Our first Provincial Grand Master was commissioned in 1832 and I am the 21st Provincial Grand Master. I feel I have been given the "Key to the door" of a very friendly and successful province, a door that will always be open, where a warm welcome is assured.

I have served Freemasonry in our Province since February 1975, becoming Master of my Mother Lodge, Kirknewton & Ratho no. 85 in 1983, & after serving as Provincial Grand Almoner, Substitute Provincial Grand Master, Depute Provincial Grand Master, I was very proud to be commissioned on the 3rd February 2011 as Provincial Grand Master. I would thank all the Brethren of our Province for recommending me as Your Provincial Grand Master, I intend to enjoy my term as Provincial Grand Master and want all our brethren to share in that enjoyment.

Our Most Worshipful Grand Master Mason, in this upcoming year,is promoting charity in our local communities. Our Provincial Grand lodge will be in the vanguard of this initiative having already setup a charity committee under the direction of Depute Provincial Grand Master Bro. James Ellis. We have already had suggestions for fundraising and beneficiaries, but more are always welcome.

Our web site gives an insight to the many activities of our Province when supporting and serving our community, I hope you find it of interest and mention our Web Site at your next Lodge meeting.

Regards,

Brother Robert W. Scott.
Provincial Grand Master.
